Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut for Halloween Entertaining

In the spirit of Halloween and social entertaining, Renee and I got together to create a spookingly-chic and bewitching set up while we dressed up in gypsy-fortune teller-witchy looks featuring 16thColony's Rumours Crop (can't have enough of the burnout velvet and fringe, use code FFFBOHOBABES for 20% off your order). We cut lace and wrapped it around our heads for different gypsy inspired looks.
With a metallic gold pen, we decorated the black frosted bottles of Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut, then popped a couple of bottles and mixed the 'cava' sparkling wine with sparkling berry juice for a seductively sweet beverage. Aside from the dressed up bottles enhancing our candlelit set up quite nicely, decorating the bottles was a fun process and serves as a great party activity for guests at a formal table or gathered together in a casual setting.
For Halloween specifically, bring together friends to costume-ize Freixenet bottles with haunting or ghoulish artwork to beat the mess of pumpkin carving. Use the mini Freixenet bottles as apart of a table setting by popping a Halloween-inspired paper straw in each bottle, and even use each bottle as a name card by writing the guest name with metallic pen, or give a mini bottle and metallic pen in goody bags as a take home.
Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut has a crisp, clean, and well balanced taste; is medium-bodied with a palate of apple, pear and citrus flavors, a moderately long finish and hint of ginger. Sip it by itself or pair with spicy foods or rich foods like Roast Pumpkin Ravioli with Mascarpone or caramel popcorn balls.
Get your own Freixenet bottles at your local liquor or grocery store, search here for where it is stocked. Metallic pens are not included with the Cordon Negro Brut, but each bottle retails for $12 each, and it's $3 for a mini bottle! Have fun, be safe and drink responsibly (if applicable) this Halloween weekend no matter what you do!
